Amanda Day is a young artist who combines her experience and skills into a unique vision: dreamy, sometimes bizarre, always imaginative, and professionally produced to last a lifetime. Her polymer clay sculptures are informed by her training in anatomy and art.

Born in Queensland Australia, Amanda was a straight A student who finished school early and went on to get qualifications in film and television production. Now she relies on all her varied skills to produce one of a kind figures in polymer clay.

At the age of 13, Amanda was placed high in a movie making competition and her movie was shown on Foxtel. She created promotional films for her high school as well as painted artwork that was used as examples for class assignments.

For several years she created digital artwork and movies and marketed them to a variety of audiences. With experience in Stop Motion Animation and anatomy studies, she creates digital critiques for sculptors.

Now at 20 years old, she has already started her own business in artist dolls. Already selling artwork direct to galleries and internationally, her work is becoming valuable and collectable.

Unfortunately she did not win the readers choice awards this year. The very talented Ros Schramm won the prize with her gorgeous sculpted baby.
